Improv Privacy Policy

When accessing our Website, Improv Pty Ltd (“Improv”) will learn certain information about you during your visit. How we will handle this information depends upon what you do when visiting our site.

Information We Collect About You


If you visit our website and/or utilise our services, we collect and store the following information about you:

  • The Internet Protocol (IP) Address / name of the domain from which you access the Internet
  • The date and time you access our site
  • Email address (as provided by you upon subscription)
  • First and Last names (as provided by you upon subscription)
  • Organisation name (as provided by you upon subscription)
  • Geographic location
  • Usage and interaction data about how you use our services.

If you identify yourself by sending us an e-mail containing personal information, then the information collected will be solely used to respond to your message. We may ask to use positive testimonials on our website for promotional purposes. From time to time, we may also collect information that you submit when you participate in any online surveys that we conduct via our website.

Improv may use software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas. Company logos and names may be used for promotional purposes.

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, Improv uses software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

Improv will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us, nor will such information be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties without the approval of the user at the time of collection.

The Use of Cookies


The website may use cookies to facilitate your use of the website. You can configure your web browser software to reject or restrict cookies; however, some parts of the website may not have full functionality in that case. Whenever you use this site information may be collected through the use of cookies and other technologies. We utilise third party products to help us understand how effective our content is, what interests our users have, and to improve how the site works.

Credit Card Information


All Credit card processing is handled by PCI DSS compliant payment gateway providers such as National Australia Bank, ANZ and Westpac. Improv does not store or hold credit card details. To enable us to provide online payment our providers will typically acquire information which may include the Cardholder’s name, credit card number (with the expiry date) and billing address. The provider will use this information to obtain authorisation of the transaction from the Issuing bank of the credit card and to process the payment. Some details from the transaction (such as reference number, name, email and delivery address) may be made available to Improv Pty Ltd which allows us to track transactions, process refunds and provide you with online access to your invoice and payment history.

We do not share Personal Information about you with third parties for their marketing purposes (including direct marketing purposes) without your permission.

Your Choices


You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from Improv by using the unsubscribe link within each email, updating your email preferences within your Improv Service account settings menu, or emailing us to have your contact information removed from our promotional email list or registration database. Although opt-out requests are usually processed immediately, please allow ten (10) business days for a removal request to be processed. Even after you opt out from receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive transactional messages from us regarding Improv’s Services.

Accessing and Updating Your Information


You may correct, update, amend, or remove your Personal Information in your account settings or by directing your query to your account administrator. You may also request access to personal information we hold about you or submit a complaint about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles. To help us deal with requests appropriately, we ask that all such requests be made via email to support@improv.com.au. Please provide as much detail as you can as this will help us to retrieve the information. It is our policy to process your request within a reasonable time. In some circumstances, there may be reason why we will not act on a request, such as where it would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others or we may not be permitted to do so by law.

You or your administrator may be able to deactivate your Improv Services account. If you can deactivate your own account, you can most often do so in your account settings. Otherwise, please contact your administrator. To deactivate an organisation account, please contact Improv Support. To deactivate an account made for you without authorisation, please contact us at support@improv.com.au.

We will retain your account information for as long as your account is active, or as reasonably useful for commercial purposes or as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If your account is managed by an administrator, that account administrator may have control with regards to how your account information is retained and deleted.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy


We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will notify you by revising the "Effective Starting" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If we make any material changes, we will provide you with additional notice (such as notification on the Improv website or sending you an email notification). We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy whenever you use Improv Services to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can help protect your privacy.

If you disagree with any changes to this Privacy Policy, you will need to stop using Improv Services and deactivate your account(s).
